About Me/ My Site

Hello And Welcome

First a bit of help with the site just in case you cant find your way round..

In the sidebar you will see all the navigation thingy bobs.

First is Pages, which are oddly enough pages just like this one. They have static information which you are probably not going to want to read more than once. The exception being News/ Content, that page will show you all the wonderful exciting things I have posted on here starting with the latest and working back through time like whats is name out of  ‘Back to the Future’

Then comes categories, with those links you can dive straight in where you want to be and find the information that interests you – That’s ALL OF IT, I’m not wasting my time typing for you to ignore me Grrr

Splash - My new microprocessor camera controller 11Archive is a cryptic way of saying err… archive. You can jump to all the stuff I added at a particular time with that.

Latest Posts is obviously the latest posts, it lists the last 5 things I added, I will let you try to work out what latest comments is ;)

If the above doesn’t find the information you are looking for, you can try the search – always a good option in my opinion.

And finally the main menu where you can sign up for an account, log in, and do things with RSS feeds – Ill work them out sometime but as they come free they are there ;)

So now you know how to find your way round I will begin (are you seated comfortably)

If you don’t know already I am Louise, the creator of this little bit of the web. If you want to know a bit more about me then here is a few facts:

I think that’s enough of that piffle, if you want to know more then you will have to ask me.

I Spider SpiderSo what’s this websites purpose? Simple answer is because I was bored and wanted something to do :D My intention is to showcase my photographs, give explanations how they were taken, maybe give a few tutorials on photography and/ or photoshop techniques,  but first and foremost is to bore you to tears :D

Photography is my main hobby, I am getting somewhat obsessed with it! I was a keen photographer many many years ago before (almost) computers were invented. I used to use a Zenith TTL 35mm camera and absolutely loved it, it was built like a Russian tank, fully manual, but capable of producing a superb photo or two.

Unfortunately the process involved buying film and then paying to have said film processed, getting one or two photos that I really had to keep out of each roll of 36 just became way too expensive for an unskilled/ often out of work layabout so I abandoned the hobby and went off in search of a career.

Then a year or so ago I found myself getting bored with spending every surplus penny on computers and computer related crap. It then dawned on me that DSLRs were getting entirely affordable and in a moment of madness I placed a bid on eBay for a Nikon D40X!

I should have known better, I should have known it would not end there, I think in the last 18 months I have probably spent more money on camera equipment than it would have cost me to carry on getting film developed to date :o

Spike in the sunlightAnyway, as I don’t drink, don’t do drugs, don’t do the other thing cause I’m single, I have to spend the money on something and photography equipment is as good as anything else.

If you want to know what camera equipment I use then check out the My Camera Equipment page, scary that innit ;)

If you have any interest in photography, or just want to check out my photos, then please feel free to have a gander at my Flickr Page which is full to brim with superb photos like the ones on this page (you can click them to see the full size ones by the way)

Well, I think that’s about it for the About  page, check out the rest of my blog thingy bob and feel free to leave comments laying about behind you.

Louise

Just wanted to say, this is one of the nicest looking and well constructed sites I have ever seen.
I came across it via a google search for arduino pro mini.
