Arrived At Parents House For Christmas

December 20th, 2009 by Louise

Snow Scene By Flash Light(s)I am here, arrived at my parents house about 4:45PM Friday.

The drive down from ScottyLand was fairly uneventful, apart from some crazy mutha white van man who decided he wanted to pass me as I was passing slow moving lorries in the other lane.

I was doing about 60, which I think was plenty fast enough anyway given that there was snow on the edges of the carriage way and it was below freezing out, the lorries were doing about 50. This retard in a white Merc van starts flashing his headlights at me from behind, there was no where for me to pull into the slower moving lane without cutting in dangerously close to a lorry so I just carried on (not that I would have changed lanes for a retard flashing headlights anyway)

So Mr No-Brain decides he is going to up the anti and force me to by tailgating me with headlights flashing, and I mean tailgating because his bumper must have been within 3 or 4 INCHES of mine! At 60 miles an hour! In snowy/ Icy conditions!

Well, as you can guess, I took appropriate action and slowed down to JUST above the speed of the slower lorries and ignored the dick. After about 5 miles he attempted an impossible undertake manoeuvre and nearly broadsided me trying to get back into my lane, panicked and swerved back and ended up on the hard shoulder.

I don’t know where he went from there because he never passed me, and he wasn’t on the hard shoulder when I looked back, I think he hid behind a truck too embarrassed to show his face LOL

Snow Scene By Flash Light(s)So that was all there was to report on the journey, oh apart from the motorway services charging me 2-55 for 3 bloody Mars bars! 85 fricken pence each for a Mars, at least Mr Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!

Anyways up, I got here just in time I think, the roads were quite slippery at this end on Friday, but after snow last night and tonight I think they will probably be impassable tomorrow.

I went out this evening and shot these photos of the snow just for the sake of shooting them ;)
